Fremont Street - The historic downtown of Las Vegas
Fremont Street

Fremont Street is in the old part of Las Vegas and is the most important street in the city after the Strip. The show “Fremont Street Experience” is celebrated on this street.

Until the creation of the large hotels and casinos on The Strip, Freemont Street was the center of Las Vegas and where the famous neon-lit casinos such as Golden Nugget appeared in dozens of films.

Until the end of the 20th Century, when the Strip seized control for attention, Freemont Street appeared in films such as Diamonds are Forever and Honey I Blew Up the Kid (where you can see the Giant Cowboy and Guitar).

Recently, films such as Sleepless have also been shot in its locations and hotels.

Should I visit Fremont Street?

If your stay in Las Vegas is only for only 2 or 3 days, you probably don’t have time to visit the old downtown of the city, but if you're around for longer you shouldn't pass up the opportunity to visit Fremont Street. The best option is to go at night and enjoy the Fremont Street Experience.
